A VERSATILE ADDITION TO THE GLOBAL WINE MASTERS
New in 2023, the Global Chenin Blanc Masters will seek out the very best this variety has to offer. Famed for crisp crémants, rich oaked whites, luscious sweet wines and more, it may be the most versatile variety in the world. We will welcome all styles, tasting classic examples from South Africa and the Loire Valley, as well as uncovering pockets of high-quality production in less known areas.
This competition is open to any varietal Chenin Blanc, or blends containing at least 50% Chenin Blanc. They can be produced anywhere in the world and in any style. Entries will be tasted by our expert judges – all Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers or senior buyers – in a blind tasting format. Wines will be awarded medals from Bronze through to Gold, with the very finest winning the title of Master. Any medal is a widely respected accolade and a powerful tool to open new markets and opportunities, and all results will be published in the drinks business magazine.
